Welcome! This is OPENING DAY on my new blog. It’s about sharing what I’ve learned in my ups and downs in the home based business arena over the past 25 years and particularly about sharing the tools and ideas I that have helped me as this old dog learned new tricks in transitioning to an Internet based business.
My grandmother and her brother actually hitched rides on a stagecoach to get to school each morning (the stage road went right by their home in the redwood country behind Santa Cruz, California). She wrote her biography and called it “STAGECOACH TO MOONWALK” because she actually lived long enough to go from hitching a ride on a stage coach to watching Neil Armstrong taking “one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind” as he set foot on the moon in the summer of 1969. Amazing.
I actually feel very much the same in the home based business arena. Along with a 25 year career in the mortgage industry, I’ve always had some degree of involvement in home based business since 1982. So I’ve gone from whiteboards in the living room reaching a few friends to blogs and videos on the Internet reaching millions of friends… Amazing.
The power and reach of the Internet is almost incomprehensible. Just writing that sentence makes me see it even bigger, but I’m sure I don’t really have a grasp of how huge this is. Learning how to do business online is an exciting adventure that I look forward to sharing on the blog.
The Internet is a GODSEND for anyone who wants to build a REAL home-based business so that they can really make money… SERIOUS money. If that’s true about you, then I sincerely hope you find the information here to be useful in YOUR Internet adventure.
In my 20+ years in the home based business industry I have wasted a lot of time and money trying to find the “Magic Formula”.
What I found is that there is no Magic Formula and there is no free lunch.
Sound business and marketing principles work in a good home based business or Internet business just like the do in traditional business… they just work in hyper-speed on the Internet. The problem is that most of us have been sold a bunch of BS at one time or another about “just do THIS, or buy this system, and get rich.”
